Default Over Sharing?

What are your take on this?

With all these new techonologies, facebook, my space, or even face to face. Are you an oversharer? Is there such a thing as TMI? Are there differences between the Westerners and Asians? There are some people that share their intimates or personal private details with hundreds of people. Most times are bragging.

Good and bad i guess.

Facebook is something new to me since my son, who lives in The Philippines, has been asking to me sign up so we could keep in touch. I never knew that i was gonna find other people i knew from high school, co-workers and ex-Navy. I think in that sense it's a good thing.

One of the bad things is that i also find someone that's been obsessed with me there as well, who i knew since high school and i see from time to time in our local nite club. I dont really want my son and friends to see something like that. I'm not there to look to hook up with anyone at this point in my life, know what i mean.

Patience and tolerance young lady. You can always use the "block" feature if you get tired of someone.

Yeah...some people constantly post their life's activities...like BHL said, you can use the 'block' feature and other features to filtered what you want to see..

I've been a fan of Mafia Wars and now my little girls got me into Farmville...

I live my life like the Obama administration, with full transparency.

yeah.....there are good and bad for sure. But when I see some people who are sharing too much I can't help but go....oooyyy.

Whatever it is...this new internet age is definitely changed our lives in a big way.

Some people are crazy sharing everything on FB. I think the gov't try to get everyone on FB so, they can track them .

On the news a week or two ago, I saw someone got arrested because of what he post on FB, he was on probation but he posted he smoke illegal substain and police show up to take this urine test and it was positive.

My opinion is that I do have personal things I keep personal.

However realistically, what is there to be so secretive about? What is it that we are so ashamed, embarrassed, or shy about?

I remember someone said, "People stress out so much about worrying that other people are thinking about us, when the other people are worrying about the same thing. When the reality of it, is that no one really cares."
